Labrador puppy behavior normal?

    Also, I chalk a lot of his past behavior to over excitement and hyperness, and simply not knowing any better yet. He's still learning and growing. Please, be patient and just take your time so they have the time to learn too

    My older Labby guy is excellent in public with all people and all other dogs. Zero aggression or fear. Calm and well mannered... But if he sees someone enter our yard at home... He will bark his absolute head off and growl viciously. He WILL NOT BITE and shows ZERO aggression if the person is greeted at the door and let into the house.

    With that said... I expect my dogs to bark if they see a stranger, but I do not want them to bite. Are people here saying that a dog barking at strangers entering his yard is a BAD thing?

    No, I think people are saying that a 14 week old puppy that the family has had for 5 day growling at someone outside may indicate that the puppy needs socialising.
