Re: Labrador puppy Korky was days from death .. but now he's training to be a guide My manager at the kennels i used to work at hand raised a pup from 48 hours old, when she was 4 months old she was diagnosed with an intussusseption and had half of her intestines removed. She has to be on a special diet for life and needs another surgery but the vets don't think she would survive it as she has a cleft lift and a problem with her airway that would make an anaesthetic risky. This little guy is very lucky his surgery didn't involve any removal of intestinal tissue. Someone was watching over him.
