    Hi

We have a 2.5 year old lab and who suffers recurrent stomach pains. He has visited Cambridge Vet school a number of times and they have been unable to diagnose.

He has the episodes every 4 months and is in really bad pain when they occur. They last for about 3-4 mins and will occur once per hour
he has been scanned, tested for everything from head to toe and nothing has been found
He has only ever been able to digest chicken flavour type food - he was on Cannigan grain free for the last year as it was the only one that agreeded with his tummy.

After his last visit in May as he had bad episode for 2 days, they have switched him to Royal Canin Moderate Calorie, thinking maybe that would help.
They just cant find anything wrong with him - but they have seen the pain episodes
All treat have been cut (not that i was really giving him any anyway)

He has been muzzled on every walk when off lead to make sure hes not eating anything - though when i do take his muzzle off he will both for the nearest grass if he has the opportunity

However 2 months later (today) hes going through pain episodes again today - so its looking like another trip to Cambridge is on the cards

Has anyone had a similar experience, and what was the outcome?

    regards

    Hi Chris,

    Welcome to the forum :)

We usually find it's more productive to start a new thread than revive an old one, so I've moved your post over here.

I hope you find a successful treatment for your Lab soon!
