Hi everyone, I’m a 3rd year Vet student at Nottingham University conducting a research project in association with Guide Dogs UK about owner perception of feeding and exercise in dogs. I’m specifically looking at pet dogs of these breeds: German Shepherds, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Standard Poodles and crosses of these breeds. I need responses from owners who have no prior training of BCS or veterinary weight management (i.e. not in the veterinary profession). I would be very grateful if you could spare 5 minutes to answer a few questions about your dog or if you could share this questionnaire with anyone you know that owns one of these breeds. http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3136892/Investigating-dog-exercise-and-feeding-behaviours Thank you in advance, I'm very grateful for any responses!!
Hi Joanna. For those of us with multiple dogs, do you want us to answer for each, or just for one? I answered yesterday for both of mine, but if it's testing me rather than the dogs, this might not have been appropriate! Since it requires we live in the UK (I must have missed that bit on the front page when I completed the questionnaire) you'll probably want to remove my data - Willow and Shadow, entered yesterday. I'm a UK citizen, but resident in Andorra.
Why does your survey ask about the age, health, etc. of the human owners? I was annoyed by these questions (I didn't answer them) because there had been absolutely no mention of associating the management of pets with owner lifestyle in your introduction, and so it seems disingenuous that not all the aims of your study had been revealed up front.
