Anyone else out there tried Doxepin for their lab with larpar? Mine was not doing well and surgery was not an option at 12 years old. After spending much time on google to see how I could help her I came across a trial with this med. I must tell you all my lab has gone from wheezing, strider, coughing and just having a very hard time breathing to back to pre larpar condition. Please Please call your vet and have them look into this for you and your dog. About $88 a month here in Canada for her meds but she can walk, chase a ball and go swimming again!! Trials are still ongoing. Our vet and I decided we had nothing to loose by trying it and it worked for her!

Good to know. Our first Lab had surgery for LP at 14 years and it worked well. We always felt sorry for her because she could no longer bark, but she did well for another 2 years. I would have been happy to try meds instead.
