I've been working with Maisie on her "leave it" command and also a "wait" command where I throw treats around. I took it to the next level this morning and had her with treats on her paws, waiting to eat them! I didn't make her wait too long, just enough to get a picture. The challenge with her is not so much her wanting the treats, but rather she likes to throw herself away from the temptation if she is given a wait command (i.e. given a wait command at a door, she backs up away from the door to show me she is doing good) but today she waited and let me do it! I was proud
Re: "Leave it" Command Fun What a clever cutie.....and er ,do I recognize the all,too familiar chewed up cardboard decorating your lovely clean floor! My floors used to look like a squat! ;D
Re: "Leave it" Command Fun Lovely photo of Maisie. I think the "Leave it" command is one of the most useful to have. It works in the kitchen when food is dropped and out on walks when there is a tempting morsel to gobbled down - well it works most the time on a walk
Re: "Leave it" Command Fun Great photo! Maisie turns her head away as if trying not too look at the treats, very funny!!
