Mum just bought a carton of 10 eggs for this weeks training for Lilly.
This will be hard... plus fun... and quite possible messy.
    Sorry in advance mum!! ;)

    Love it!

Obi is a big hunter of eggs. He knows all the ducks' secret egg laying places. He carries them delicately but I'm not sure if I could get him to retrieve one! :)

Why do you want Lilly to retrieve eggs, Sophie?

Well, we go to dog training class and we have started doing this fundraising even each summer and train the dogs to do fun, exciting things. This year we need to try and get them to.. Well retrieve an egg.
Sadly we found out that we will not be there on the day of the event (again.) which is sad as Lilly can do the type of things our trainer wants us to do. He is also sad that I'm not going to be there as he thinks I work really well with Lilly and I have trained her well to be really good at these things. But, it would be hard to change things now. :(

Ah, I see! :D I would seriously start with hard boiled eggs rather than raw eggs in case Lilly breaks the egg. It would be difficult to stop her self rewarding instantly by eating the broken egg. :)

Be reassured we started with hard-boiled wrapped in clingfilm and tape ;D

We have done some with hard-boiled eggs but she does it better with raw ones as it feels different, making her more gentle with it. We put cling film round it so if she does drop it, at least it won't go all over the floor. Lol
