In my big breed search, I've noticed some breeds tend to naturally "smile" more than others, probably just down to how they are put together. Labs, as silly and fun as they are, do seem to be a bit more on the serious side when it comes to having their photos taken. I'd like to challenge you all to prove me wrong. Please drag out those favourite doggie smile photos of your pups of any age and share them here. Also, why do you think that happy Labs photograph as more contemplative than some other breeds? Just the way they like to hold their mouths? Less panting? I'm actually really curious! OK...and I just want to see a bunch of adorable grinning doggie photos to make my day. A rare Brogan serious face: And just one of thousands of Brogan smiley face pics:
Yay!!!! Dirt-on-nose laughing Shadow is my favourite! No, wait, it's "dog on the tiles" Shadow. Or..."Willow with pinecone". Darn, good thing I don't really have to pick ONE.
With mine it's simple - less panting. Tatze virtually never pants and Mollie only when she's over excited - then she looks more manic than smiling lol ....
Well, in Mollie's defence, when you are so good at the "resting you-know-what face" (as you've previously noted) why go for "manic"?
Poms are indeed one of those breeds who just seem to be perpetually smiling and it looks like Odie is no exception. I get to dog sit for a tiny Pom now and then and every time she just puts a smile on my own face with her furry enthusiasm. And what a great picture of Axel - he wins the best choccie nose hands down (paws down?)!
