Sorry Jac I think that was my advice about the sock, but I meant to cover the dressing with the sock to prevent her from removing the dressing :( x

The sock was the good bit Helen!
The taking off of the dressing underneath it was the dubious advice. (In my opinion)

Vet called this afternoon with the biopsy result - just showed some "chronic inflammation" so nothing serious or sinister. Hope it heals up quickly, it already feels like a month, not a week.
    Thanks again for your concerns.
Now wondering how I am going to fill my 2 days off next week since I can't go beach tromping or for a long walk in the woods.
    :D

Thats a relief Jac. I would go for a beach less chance of any damage to Lilly's leg. Glad everythings going well for Lilly :) x

Just noticed I said CAN go to the beach rather than can't :(
Hope its cleared up by then but its still a bit of a hole in her leg. SAlt water I suppose MIGHT be good for it by that point :)

What does that mean? Inflammation of the patch of skin?

    Re: Lilly's biopsy

I am interpreting it as just a patch of irritated skin - could have been a bite that didn't heal up properly for instance. Could even be that Lilly licks it more than we are aware and just "keeps it going".
Main thing is there is no sign of any abnormal cells - or anything that needs specific treatment - or in fact needed more complete removal (though looks like most of it was sampled anyway).
I'm not sure if you would see chronic inflammation with a callous which is what the vet last week thought it was.
Often biopsy results are pretty vague in my opinion!

Glad it's nothing serious :) it's hard when you can't take them for long walks, but I'm sure you will find things to do together :)
