I thought the 90 mins might be a daycare thing its going to be hard to get to that level of exercise for her for a while. Do they have older dogs in daycare ones that only require a short walk can they put her with them until she's fully recovered? One size walk does not fit all dogs. I was advised by my dogs physio never to jog a dog under 2 years and to be very careful doing it with an adult its very high impact bad for joints etc. Apparently dogs who go jogging are very good business for him, he sees loads of them. I gently introduce more exercise and to look at the level of high joint impact stuff. I would take her to see a good physio get them to access her joints and muscles. see which bits you can improve with physio and be careful and sign of discomfort stop and take it slow. Do some hydrotherapy as its a good thing for fitness but low impact on joints and relaxes muscles. His general thoughts are that people exercise there dogs too much in the wrong way and never exercise a dog so much that its very tired. He looked after all my dogs on got to 14 1/2 and still walked daily and he's helped with my 13 year old who the vet thinks is one of the healthiest fitess old dogs he's ever seen. You've had a lucky escape it looks like no perminant damage has been done and with care hopefully she will back to normal soon.
So sorry to hear that ! But I wouldn't wait more then a day or two and if he is still limping I would get him checked out by a vet ! Just to be on the safe side !
hi just been resding all these posts and i am hoping for the good news u got with ur furbaby Holly is older she is 6 in nov but sheshe too isnt shakinh off a limp she will for a day but as soon as she plays its back again i too have went over her legs etc snd no flinshes or noises of pain insurance just set up today so 14 days lay time so i will do what u have done and keep with short leaded walks 15 mins 3 or 4 times a day shes dieting as overweight from previous owners hopefully it clears up soon and if not the vet visit will be good news like u have had jeni
