Holly started limping on her walk last night. We took her home and it seems that she is sensitive about one of her claws on her front right paw. She probably just caught it while charging around. One of our previous dogs got an infection under the claw that took a while to heal, and several vet bills, so we're a little sensitive about claws.

As a precaution we've cleaned all around the paw. We'll not walk her today and see whether it improves, if not then I guess its a visit to the vet!

Poor Holly :( Hope it sorts itself and no trip to the vet needed.

Sorry to near that Holly has hurt herself. If no better within 24 hours I would pop her to the vet just to check her paw over.

Hope Hollys paw sorts itself out quickly, always a worry coupled with a less than ideal previous experience of a similar problem

Thanks for your good wishes. She's had a day of complete rest and seems to be putting some weight on it. When she stopped for a sniff in the garden she lifted the paw, so it obviously still troubles her. We'll rest her again tomorrow and see how she gets on.

Yesterday's rest seems to have done some good. We took Holly for a short walk in the park last night and she seemed to walk normally. This morning she allowed us to inspect and clean her paw.

Today we're going to take her to the Forest for a short walk around the Dog Dip. A short walk and a swim might be good for her.

A short walk and a good swim seems to have done some good. She's walking much better tonight. Phew!

I'll try her on a longer walk tomorrow.
