Hi, I started doing clicker retrieve with Cassie quite a few weeks ago as she was running off with the dummy. I found it really helpful as I could practice in house and garden, initially while the weather was bad and for the last 4 weeks while she has been in season. She has been bringing it back to me and I have been teaching the hand touch too, so she's getting the idea to put it in my hand. Anyway today I plucked up courage to try in the great outdoors, I picked a spot between the lake and field fence. To my delight she happily brought it to me (for a piece of sausage), 2 out of three times to my hand. It was only her second off lead walk for a month and an hour after her tea, so I am feeling pleased. I know it's not going to set the world alight but it is an improvement for us. Little steps Thank you to everyone who advised on my previous posts.
Good girl Cassie Progress is progress no matter how small and little steps is the way to go. Well done Selina x
