When I spoke to my brother yesterday he said "should of kicked it!" which is the exact reply I have had of a few other dog owners in the area. It terrifies me thinking I may need to do this one day.

I think this is cause I see Lola as my baby and assume others see theirs in the same way and could never hurt someone's child :'(

One of my earliest memories was my Nana using her Spaniels lead to whip a mastiff type dog that was dragging her dog away by the throat and it was sooooo scary. The blood, the yelping, the barking. It still makes my stomach turn

Met a 3 legged Jackapoo (Jack Russell Poodle) this morning who was as full of beans as Lola so they had a good 'wrestle' which was very funny ;D
...Both hands tight on the back of the other dog's collar and pull up and back with Tiger Mother inspired strength has worked both times...
This reminded me of a video I saw of how Special Forces soldiers are trained to deal with a dog attacking a colleague. You can probably find it on YouTube but it went like this: Straddle the dog facing its head, loop a belt (or lead or whatever you have to hand) under the front of the dog's neck and cross it at the back of its neck, pull the ends of the belt outwards whilst simultaneously squeezing the dogs ribcage with your legs, the dog will struggle for breath and (in theory!) release its grip.

    * They didn't say what to do with the dog once it has released its victim! Hhhm, anybody want to take this vicious dog off my hands?
    * What if you use your belt and your trousers fall down!!
    * I now imagine JulieT as a Special Forces dog trainer ;D

Julie, you will have to start wearing a belt on your walks with Charlie ;) And possibly camo as well.

I think Charlie looks good in purple. OH wanted red for Charlie's accessories. It was still at the stage when I was massively in "relationship give and take" debt for OH agreeing we could get a dog. So red it is. I'm sue I could get a red camo collar. ;D

Well I like the picture of Charlie with his green Kongstick.

Pity we've missed St Patrick's day or a green collar would have looked great.

Perhaps he could have a whole wardrobe of collars. Green for St Patrick's Day, red for Christmas, a nice black for Halloween.

    I'll stop now, before I get silly☺️

What is silly about colour-coded, festival themed collars? I can't see a problem :)

You are obviously a person of taste and refinement, not to mention great perception.

But then you've got a Labrador, so that much was already obvious

So....I am guessing that my OH's opinion of *One Dog One Collar, Why Have You Bought Another New One?* wouldn't get a lot of support from you guys.... ;D

Does your OH ask why you have more than one pair of shoes when you only have the one pair of feet???
