Back where he belongs - on his memory foam bed, getting his leg rubs. 8) ;D ;D ;D

He says it feels good to have his familiar servants around him. Look how the cheeky pup demands another rub at the end when OH stops. ;D ;D ;D

Calm and normal on his return home. I guess all that calmness prep in the run up to the op just didn't transfer to the hydro centre.

I think it's good for him to be relaxed.

Look at his wound site - looking good!

Right, got to go - need to do the walk/ice routine.

Although he looks very well he does look a wee bit tired and so glad to be home so that he can relax. When you think, he has been through such a lot.

Yes, I think so too - he is in a sort of "very alert" state at Greyfriars. A mix of long periods in his kennel (so desperate to be out) and it's a busy place. Lots of barking dogs, and people coming and going. He just settles at home. Although, I've only seen him when visiting, and that gets him excited of course.

He looks very content and relaxed in that video, living the life of luxury ;D

Hope the rest on the weekend with him continues to go smoothly and that you both have some relaxing time together and charlie gets lot of belly rubs on demand with sea biscuits being dropped into his mouth :p

I missed Charlie coming home yesterday. :(

He looks really well Julie. You can hardly see the wound site and his fur is growing back.

It will do him good to be home at weekends then like you said he can relax properly and get a good sleep before he goes back to 'work'.

I'm so pleased he's looking so good and everything is going so well.

Take care all of you he'll soon be home for good. ;D

    Re: Lovely Chocolate Charlie

    Thanks all!

We've had a lovely, lovely weekend. Although busy! What with meds, ear cleaning, ice packs and the rest of it.

We installed two gates in the pen/breakfast/kitchen area so could have him in pen sized areas all the time - so didn't have any massive problems with him running round (he had no where to run to). Just one illegal counter surf when he was pretending to be asleep but was really watching the cheese. ::)

I doubt a dog has ever been cuddled as much in 48 hours! We have him tomorrow too, but I'm at work so OH is on duty. I'll see him for a bit tomorrow night (but also have to go out - work - cutting down my puppy time  ).

Here he is returning from his 4th of his 5 x 10 minutes. Isn't he walking well? Or, I think he is anyway. (I don't mean loose lead, I mean physical! Loose lead wasn't so good - but there was a cat in front and then to the side of him, hence the sea biscuit bribes ;D ;D ;D).

He is trotting along beautifully Julie, looking at him you wouldn't know he'd had an operation such a short time ago part from the fact he's shaved...I wouldn't want to video Dexter with a cat in front of him  it's not pretty!i think Charlie did really well, enjoy the time you get with him before he's back to rehab! X

Glad you had such a lovely time with your boy Julie. I am amazed Charlie is walking so well. You would never know he has just had surgery, apart from the shaved bits ;).
Well done all of you :) :)xx
