Wierd thing is I have never seen Bouncer shiver.

I think he is just too daft to know when he is cold.

Maybe Lumpy wasn't cold. Maybe he was trembling with excitement.

Shadow definitely feels the cold! He was shivering this morning when I stopped to talk to a friend. Poor skinny boy.

Their friend Buster jumps into the streams regardless of the weather. But I think mine will only learn the love of water when the ambient temperature rises above -20C ;)

Be careful they don't get too cold jumping in cold water. A few months ago Harley had cold tail syndrome. I thought it was her back legs as she struggled to stand up, but it was her tail - she couldn't move it for several days and needed anti-inflammatories and painkillers for a week. It is apparently quite common in gun dog breeds such as labs.

I'm planning to keep a bit of weight on him. Duck season starts in Autumn and ends in Winter. I've seen a lot of cold gundogs who look like they'd rather be somewhere else due to the cold, but never a Lab. I'm not sure that it would help keep his tail warm.
