    Hi all,
My 6 month black lab has recently started lunging on lead at other dogs, he isn’t barking, and doesn’t appear to be afraid or scared, it’s more that he desperately wants to say hello. We’ve been doing a lot of work with him recently on loose lead waking which is going really well (stopping, walking away/turning around etc) but when there’s another dog he literally pulls me over.

When there’s another dog he ignores all treats and whatever I ask him to do (I.e sit/watch me), he goes completely deaf and all he can see is the other dog.

I’m really struggling with this and have no idea what to do, but desperately want to stop it as other people aren’t too happy with it!

    Any advice gratefully received!

Our Billy does this, just really wants to meet them and say hi but he's a strong boy. We bought a harness for him that has a leash clip on the front, when he lunges he gets a surprise because it just turns him round back to us and it's much easier to control him.
