    I don't know a lot about this but maybe it's a bit like a clicker, although obviously not used in the same way.

    What I mean is since I've been clicker training my dogs have become much more focused and respond much better than when I used a verbal marker. I know this is also because you can click faster etc but maybe some dogs respond better to a non verbal noise.

    Although the jingler is a cue not a marker perhaps it's the non verbal noise that makes the dog respond better,quicker or just take more notice. They can become immune and switch off too the voice.

    Just a thought. ::)
