    Re: Mass Cell Tumours

Not sure where to begin. Last night was the single worst experience of my life. Seeing my family in tears and having to turn away and leave my best friend on the floor of the vets was simply devastating. The procedure was quick, painless and Pickles stared at me throughout until slowly collapsing into my arms. He had his small bedtime puppy toy with him which is going to stay with him on his next adventure. The vet was lovely.

Just walked in from work to an empty house, so hard. Trying to keep going for the rest of the family but finding this so so difficult. I miss my best friend so much.
Thanks for the comments everyone. Means a lot.

Sadly many of us have the experience of watching our dogs suffer with Cancer.

Once I had the prognosis for Alice I decided to enjoy her while I still had her. When SHE stopped enjoying life I arranged "the last best thing" for her.

I hope things go as well as they can for both of you.

So sorry for you, and I know exactly how you feel. My boy also has mast cell cancer, I have had the tumor burst (histamines caused chaos) and know the smell and mess it causes. He had a lump the size of a tennis ball removed October, but now his stomach and groin are enlarged with more. We have a week holiday booked by the sea in a cottage on Saturday, I am hoping he gets his last holiday in one of his favourite places before I have to let him go. The tumours themselves never seemed to bother him, but once triggered they are evil. he is still a total pain, and eating anything he can rob, so while he remains like this, I'll try and be as brave as he is
