He's brilliant thanks everyone! Just a quick one he really doesn't seem to like the carpets in our living room he prefers to be in the kitchen or the hall on flooring. Could this he for any reason? I feel mean with him being alone he keeps taking himself off after a play and lies down alone and sleeps for a bit Thanks
Could you go and buy him an off-cut of lino at the weekend, he might be happy to lie in the living room with you on that.
What a stunning boy . He may find the carpets a bit warm and prefer the cool lino. Bailey goes and lays on the kitchen floor or out by the back door when he gets warm. If we've gone to bed and he gets hot he takes himself out onto the landing which is wood flooring and flops there for a while. Sounds like you are off to a great start - long may it stay that way x
Hi Jyssica, I think I already chatted with you in another post ... We live in Dubai with Dexter our 4 year old yellow boy but I'm originally from Liverpool.we took Dexter back with us this Summer to get him out of the desert heat and I spent quite a bit of time in Liverpool Here he is at the 'Prom' ..... My family all live in the South end not far from the airport x
Ahh what a brilliant picture - did you get Dexter over in Dubai? Or here and then move him over with you? How is he with the flying ordeal? He's a gorgeous Labrador! Is he good? Or is that a silly question when a lab is concerned haha. I live in Knowsley myself.
He he he,he is a very good boy but he's had ( still has!) his moments. We got him from a breeder in Scotland and the rules don't let you import them to the UAE until they are 4 months ,there was a mistake with his DOB so he was actually five months.... He flies very well ,I don't really know what goes on for the seven hours he is in a box in the hold but he's fine at the other end, desperately excited to see us and full of his usual bounce. We will bring him over again next Summer too ,because he seems to cope well with the flight it's worth it to get him out of the Summer heat here x
Harley has a cool mat that she lies on a lot when she is hot. It's similar to this : https://www.dfordog.co.uk/paws-chillr-L.html?gclid=CKDqxrC-us8CFc0y0wodIaoGvg Role is adorable
Rolo sounds so much like Snowie in the seeking cool spots and itchiness departments. When Snowie is very itchy, his skin is hot and looks very pink -- so it's logical that he seeks out cool spots to lie on. That might be why Rolo prefers to lie in the kitchen. Our house is tiny and open-plan so wherever we are, Snowie can lie on the cool tiles and still be with us! You could offer Rolo a freezer pack (those blue gel packs) to lie on to get cooler? When Snowie is very, very hot, I rub him down with one of those freezer gel packs (he loves it) and then I leave it under his chest and he can move off it when he's had enough.
