Microchip costs

I'm about to transfer ownership of Nelly from the breeder to me on pet log. Is it right that there's a £16 payment?

 

Yep. I was told by the breeder if you transfer registration in the KC website (which also costs £16) it should include the fee to transfer the microchip but I don't think it does. pet log is actually run by the kennel club so it feels a bit like a money making exercise!

 

I paid £16 to do the transfer, wasn't asked for any extra for the microchip.

 

Luna is registered with Animal Tracker and there was no transfer charge. I paid a small amount (£6 or so IIRC) and that allows lifetime changes of details, and I also had Willow and Shadow added to it for free!
