For anyone who's still interested in the origin of this thread ;) :D, Ripple is now sitting half way across the room when the microwave is going. I'm using treats to reward him when it's whirring and also at the 'ping' when it stops.

But OH was home this weekend and thinks I have not put it in the right place so I need to move the kitchen round again .

I have one of those small boards on the surface of the utility room, iron on top - two bits ironed a day after hanging the washing on the rack (yes - I have a rack!) I haven’t ironed husband or sons clothes since son’s were 12 years old and I gave them an ironing lesson. They had two choices - wear creased clothes or iron them. The same choice I have :D

Er, no... you have a good case for leaving it where it is - you can't upset Ripple again. If OH thinks otherwise, then guess who can move it! ;)

I might have already told him this - but less politely :D.

What's even worse he said my homemade soup was too spicy and he likes spicy things!

I'm sure it won't be too long before Ripple associates "whhiirrrrrr -PING" with a tasty treat and he will embrace the microwave. When my oven timer goes "beep beep beep beep" Coco is up and herding me into the kitchen (this is when the shepherd in him comes to the fore - this and at dog's supper time) - he doesn't even get a treat, he gets to watch me dish up!

Did the soup look good in his head?

Mollie was a nuisance at meal times so they got a Kong to help her settle. Guess who still goes to her bed and gives the Labrador eyes when we dish up, long after Mollie has gone? Yup, Tatze! So Tatze and Keir get an extra, and completely unnecessary, Kong every day.

Much, much harder than dog training- but I’m proud to say my sons are in their 30s now and still do all their own ironing.

My eldest doesn’t have much as he’s a nurse in Germany and their uniforms are washed and ironed for them at work! The other is also in uniform at work and irons all his own.

Oooh it's my birthday on Friday and when I got in from work tonight OH was putting the electric blanket on the bed.

I asked why and he said it's because he doesn't think he's got me very good birthday presents.

That's better than any present I could have asked for! :D

I almost bought some online the other day but with delivery it would’ve come to over $10 and I didn’t think the noodles could be that good.... But I could be wrong. Will await your verdict, Steffi.

You can get Super Noodles in a pot** - like a Pot Noodle - my colleague had one at work yesterday. Well I never!

** I can't say it smelled very appetising

I have to profess a fondness for instant noodles in a cup.
No microwave needed #Just a kettle - cables on view or hidden, makes no difference.
My ultimate comfort food after a crap day when I have had no food and am too tired to actually cook.

Shhhh......my guilty secret. Much better than Pot Noodle :puke:
