Poor you, you must be so tired with lack of sleep and the stress of it all. Sorry for Millie too as she can't be feeling good. I think a little walk is a good idea to take her mind off it.

Poor little Millie. Her little world has been turned upside down and her eye hurts. She has so much to cope with. Hopefully the after effects of the anaesthetic will wear off soon and she will feel a little better. Hope you are holding up Kate, it's what we ladies do.

Poor Millie. It must be so sore for her. A little walk might perk her up. Poor thing she probably doesn't understand what's happening. Hopefully in next few days things will get better for her. Sending you and her lots of hugs.

Oh Kate, not so good, you must be feeling exhausted. I know I do with the whole stress of trying to stop my little princess : licking her stitches out and its not nearly so serious as poor Miss Millie.
How is Sam doing?

I took them to Golitha , she didn't seem too bothered that she was on lead and Sam was running free , her tail wagged the whole time , she also did a huge poo , I thought she had tummy ache last night so this must have given some relief . The neck cushion is still working well , albeit a bit big , will get her a proper soft buster collar next week . She isn't usually a fussy dog re food , always eats whatever is put before her but she wont eat her kibble , am wondering if its because her throat is sore from the tube , maybe . One day down , many more to go before our little scrap is over this xx
Sam is doing fine thanks Jacqui , he isn't going for the long walks he usually has but I guess it wont hurt him for a little while xx

I'm sure Sam would rather everyone was together, he'll be fine with just short walks for a bit
and you're probably right about Millies sore throat....will she eat her kibble soaked?

Charlie was on chicken and rice after surgery, the nurse said it was because his throat would be sore, yes.

Glad that Millie has been out and about today I was told to give Harley soft food for about 48 hours after her op as her throat would be very sore.

Lovely to hear Millie has been out an about so soon, I bet Sam was thrilled . Kate could you soak her kibble and mash it to a puree?

Sam will be happy to have his family back together and won't mind a jot having short walks bless him I hope you and okay Kate and resting a little easier now Millie is home with you all xx

The vet gave me a tin of Hill's science plan gastro sensitive for Lilly's tea after her biopsy.
She ate it all up. Did hesitate at the kibble next morning for breakfast, so we thought it was indeed a sore throat issue.
And took her a couple of days to get her quiet little whine for attention back to just the right pitch.

Miss Millie is a little happier now . I rang a large garden centre, knowing it had a pet dept and yes, they sold buster collars , so two hours round drive, she is wearing it and truly doesn't seem to mind as its very lightweight and very soft too .
Re diet, I have bought her two trays of Natures Harvest chicken, rice and veggies , and trust that these will suit Madam for her tea for the next few days
Am feeling quite exhausted, in mind and body , I reckon I shall sleep like the damned tonight
Millie is back at hospital on Tuesday afternoon for her post op check , her eye looks clean so fingers crossed . I really appreciate all the support, we both do , for our little terrier girl xxx

You must be totally drained, you poor things.

Really glad to hear that she is going so well after her terrible trauma. Amazing, really.

Good to hear progress is being made and that Millie and Sam enjoyed their walk. I think an afternoon nap for all is called for.

Just seen this thread and sending you lots of good wishes. Hope everything works out fine for Millie, you must be beside yourself.


Good luck and hope her post op check up on Tuesday goes well. Fingers crossed and so are Albert's paws.
