Well poor Milly is on bed rest again. She has had an odd limp that seems to come and go. Never noticeable at the vet of coarse until today. The vet came out for a walk with us so that Milly was calm enough to act normal and the limp was back. She is now on some anti inflamatories and bed rest and is booked in for x rays on Monday. Hoping it's just a stubborn soft tissue injury that rest etc will help.
Re: Milly is limping again. So glad the vet was there to see it! Fingers crossed it just needs some rest. Good luck on Monday
Re: Milly is limping again. Almost 7 months. I'm so hoping it's not anything too bad. I am thoroughly enjoying training her etc. hoping it's only a pause for a few days and nothing too serious. Poor thing is quite sore today and is looking stiff in that leg as well. She is also much quieter and less jumpy at home. Just not quite her usual bouncy self. Except at the vet. She loves that place so much she just can't contain herself. Lol
Re: Milly is limping again. I really hope it's something and nothing, and soon sorted and the chances are that's what will happen. But you've done the right thing getting your vet involved and booking x-rays. I don't think limps should be left at all - one go at clearing things up with rest, then start investigating. If there is something wrong, the sooner you find it, the better off you'll be.
Re: Milly is limping again. Fingers crossed she is better after resting it and fingers crossed the x ray is a waste of time if you know what I mean.
Re: Milly is limping again. Good luck for x rays on Monday. Hopefully with rest her limp will get better. Lots of hugs to her from me and meg.
Re: Milly is limping again. Will be thinking of you and really, really hope Milly gets good results xx
Re: Milly is limping again. Well she is at the. Eats for the day. I'm really hoping the x rays show nothing. She wasn't limping noticeably this morning. So I'm hoping the rest and tabs have helped. Will know more latter today.
Re: Milly is limping again. We'll x rays are all clear! Yay! They did find that the left shoulder was a bit easier to move side to side while she was under the anesthetic. Which means she has most likely over stretched that shoulder causing some soft tissue damage. So we are on more tabs and a month of just lead walks and rest. No balls, tugs, runs or playing I can go to training but have to leave any play sections out. No play group for a month I might see if I can get a few walks with the play group people as they seem to be reasonably calm. I will talk to them and see what they say. I am a little worried this will interfear with our socialising? Hopefully not. Anyway pleased it's nothing serious. Both elbows and shoulders looked perfect. So that's awesome.
Re: Milly is limping again. What a relief. That's wonderful news! Pity about the month off playgroup but she'll be back at it before you know it
Re: Milly is limping again. Ah I'm so glad it's nothing serious Annette,a month sounds a long time but it will pass x
