I was just thinking ohhhh tatze is so patient with her little sister. Then SHOVE - "get out of me face, man".
Tatze is SO good-natured. I love how she has that puppy-taming paw still in place ready to whip it around (gently) to Mollie's head when needed. And Mollie already looks twice as big last week. Agree with @JenBainbridge - definitely adorability overload.
Well now ... (Touch a lot of wood!) Mollie is not a crocapup at all. She mouths gently and doesn't bite down, no grabbing ankles and no snapping. I can cuddle her next to my face - and my neck, ears and nose are safe. All of the other pups were full on croc mode by this stage so my fingers are properly crossed! She is VERY greedy and causes Tatze to rush her food as she's so keen to get into Tatze's bowl, so I feed them separately now. Tatze nearly choked the other day trying to eat her food quickly, and she's not usually a super fast eater. Mollie is lovely and playful but also sleeps a lot, I don't remember the others sleeping so much. She dozes off at 8pm and that would be it for the night. I wake her up to play at 10:30 or she'd wake too early in the morning. She wakes at 3am ish for a wee, settles back down quickly, with me sitting by her pen, then I leave her and she sleeps until 6:30am, which is fine by me She is soooooo Labrador! I can really tell the difference between her and the GR crosses. Food means everything to her and she's 100% eager and willing. I love her xx I'm so tempted to ask for another pure Lab for the next pup but I have decided I want a surprise it'll be "bring me a pup, any pup"
Already thinking about your next one, Mags? You're incorrigible! You have me feeling puppy broody with your pictures and videos. Oh, I hope Willow is even a tiny bit as good as Tatze!
Tatze and Mollie together are making me want another black pup!!! Mollie has such a sweet little face!
That's so interesting that you are seeing such difference between Mollie and the GR crosses. I'll look forward to hearing more about that! It's part of what I find so fascinating about different dog breeds. How they can all be such individuals and have their own special spark, yet they retain characteristics across the breed which once you know a breed well you recognise immediately.
Mags I've just realised that I haven't written on your thread,I think because I have on your Facebook page, I have been reading and following xxx Glad the settling in period has gone so well and I'm so pleased you aren't getting bitten to bits! And Mollie's Mum is beautiful no wonder Mollie is so lovely x
