But this time she has a reason I suspect she's gone deaf. Finally she has a good reason to do just as she pleases. Her hearing is no longer normal. I don't think she is totally deaf she is hearing some things but she has lost a lot of it. She's not as bad a Doug was so once again i'm so glad I teach hand signals as well as vocal. I just have to adjust how I handle her she seems very happy as now she does not even have to pretend to listen to me.
Oh bless her! I shall be like that when I'm getting on I don't doubt it. I wonder if my relatives will have hand signals for me or if they'll just discuss how batty I am
Ah Moo, she's lucky to have you to take care of her. Glad I'm using hand signals with my 2 year old. Never had a dog go deaf, but you never know - always good to have them in place already.
I've always found that an very excited labs respond to hand signals when they won't listen to my voice and I do use them to play the long game because its pretty much a given that you will get partially deaf dog as they get older. Shes funny she just a silly little dog
