Usually around 7:30 in the evening, Rue settles down on one of our laps and naps/cuddles until bedtime. For the past couple of weeks though, she has had more energy in the evenings. She has been wanting to play or wander around the house until after 9. It's 9 right now here in the US, and she just now settled for the first time all evening. She's not tearing through the house or bouncing off the walls or anything ...just not settling like she normally does. Her schedule/routine hasn't changed, and she gets an hour or more of exercise every day at 9 months. Any ideas for why she'd have more energy at night?
Re: More energy in the evening as of late Maybe the time change in the US? We now still have light up to 7PM here in the East (U.S.).....darker in the mornings.
Re: More energy in the evening as of late Agreed...the time change has messed with our routine too....we've had a few extra kongs, some trick training sessions, and extra fetch games in the house trying to use up her extra energy. : I told hubby the other day that since it's now still basically light out when I get home, I might play with her ball and the chuckit launcher for a bit each night to run off some of her excess....a Good 10 minute session of ball chasing can make a huge difference in our evening! ;D
