Oh yes sorry - I knew that and was just keeping everything crossed it wasn't a serious problem. Senior moment as they say! ::)

This is an early evening rather than a morning walk but here are a few pics of a stroll that Obi and I had on Red Hill yesterday, not far from our house in Canberra. Although Canberra is the capital city, it is not very big as far as cities go (about 350 000 people) and it has a lot of parks and trees.

The city is in the background (including Parliament House) but it's very hard to see.

    On a steep bit.

We saw a lot of these, which is why this has to be an on-lead walk. It is very naughty to chase kangaroos (even though a Labrador would never catch up to one).

Those are fab photos! I've been to Canberra - my sister lived in NE Victoria for years, before moving north of Sydney. A lovely area, you are very lucky.

Karen, that's great that you have visited :) We like it here - Canberra offers a good lifestyle.

Kate - Obi says thanks! :)

Jac, exactly: roos = deer. It's very dry here normally but especially at the moment. Plus the soil is fairly poor so the vegetation isn't something you could ever describe as lush and green. But it is sunny I guess.
