Multiple puppy crates

    i would like to have a crate in our bedroom upstairs for sleeping at night and another downstairs in the living room for during the day. Thoughts?

    Hi Amy, multiple crates are a great idea. I have several so that puppies can be crated if necessary in whatever room we are using. The downside is that they take up space, and are not pretty. :). Crates are 'relatively' a bit cheaper than they used to be. So I'd say, have as many as you need and can afford

    Another thought is a Crate and a puppy pen. We had crate in the bedroom and a pen in the kitchen for both Cooper and Tilly when they were pups. I put a heavy cardboard box on its side with some bedding that she could go into for a little more quiet. Puppy pens are nice because you can vary the shape to fit the situation, and the pup has more room to move around and see the world.

    Meg has various beds over the house. If you tell her..go to bed..she heads for the nearest one and is totally chilled. She would have done that easily to a crate..just go for it :)

    We have exactly this setup. It has worked perfectly for us. Gary is now almost 10 months old and still uses both crates.
