Well, after our bit of a false start a couple of weeks ago; Murphy came home yesterday. Here's a few pics, we got off to a flying start. Slept in the car all the way home, wee'd in the garden when we got home, had a drink and a scoff in the house, explored his crate and had a nap - in the crate having never seen one before. Dream puppy - but you knew it wouldn't last :)

Yet..... Went to his bed at 10:00, out for a wee at 11:00, then slept till 4:00. Out again for a wee and a poo, slept till 6:00. He's snoring away in his crate as I type! OK - a little accident between 4:30 and 6 but who's counting.

He's a bit of a whiner / squeaker but that never lasts does it. So far so good - it's all got to go horribly wrong at some point ;)

Absolutely delighted, going to 'charge the clicker' - maybe tomorrow when he's fully settled in.

Ah, he's gorgeous. Meg was good as a puppy, she soon settled in and got house trained. You're right Karen, time does fly by too quickly.

It's been quite a while since we've had the pleasure of a puppy, the memories are all flooding back. It's so useful reading everyone else's experiences, disasters, worries and joy of having our labs in the house.

Re: Murphy is home, an update

I think we be brought home a prodigy, I'm just as sure he's actually read the Happy Puppy Handbook. Even more amazing is we have the Kindle version so,his iPad skills are really coming on. He took himself off to bed last night at 10:30, asked to go out for a wee at 3am, we got up at 7 (worried there may be something wrong) to find him sitting in his crate, wagging his tail waiting for us. No accidents at all.

Since the he's been a real boon with the housework, brushing the step, hoovering and even a spot of gardening.
