It was three years ago today my Murphy decided he'd had enough of running for the ball. He'd done well. He'd kept running for 15 years. Well perhaps a quick walk the last 12 months. There's no better friend than a labrador. Jen

[/quote] So true and was a well kept secret from me until 10 months ago.....now I wonder what was life like before our yellow fellow? Murphy must have given you so many happy times Jen,and he would have had a wonderful life with you x
Re: Murphy Ah these Dogs... They grab hold of your heart, and don't let it go even after they are gone :'(
Re: Murphy 15years is both a good long time for his happy life with you - and tragically short, if only they could stay longer. Love to hear more about your boy.
Re: Murphy I know Julie they should live as long as us. I have 15 years of stories about Murphy most of them funny. When he was young he'd have given Scott and scout a run for their money. He did get up to some naughty things. Like when my dad was supposed to be in charge of him. Murphy saw his chance and took himself for a walk. He was found sat talking to a fisherman on the canal bank. He'd taken himself for his usual walk and stopped for a chat. ;D When I think about him I always think of things he did that make me smile. That was Murphy always up for fun (and mischief if given the chance )
Re: Murphy The fun - that's one of the best things about labradors, they are such happy dogs. It's lovely he can still make you smile remembering him, sounds like he did his labrador job very well.
