Jack & Barney are 10.5 months old now and I don't know where the time has gone! They are still really good, decrated except to sleep at night, as Barney cries around 4am when not in crate, but sleeps til someone gets up in their crate :-\ we are going to give it another go over the next week as he really takes some waking to get into the crate at bedtime. The occasional daytime chewing when we're out has pretty much stopped now, I think the frozen Kongs really help, we leave one for OH/the dog walker to give them for the couple of hours after lunch til we get home after she leaves. A couple of pics from this weekend, they just love playing out and pretty much spent all day outside yesterday, which probably explains why they slept til 7.30 today ;D https://www.dropbox.com/s/qcyh3bt8j357bzo/2015-04-04 10.07.41.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/al107mbun82rfas/2015-04-04 13.09.43.jpg?dl=0
Re: My boys are growing up! Very regal and handsome.....beautiful shiny coats. They look so healthy and confident and happy! Congratulations!
Re: My boys are growing up! Very handsome boys. It looks like there's quite a difference in their faces, but that could just be the photo. They're so big! Do they still jump into your OH's arms?
Re: My boys are growing up! Thanks everyone ;D
Very handsome boys. It looks like there's quite a difference in their faces, but that could just be the photo. They're so big! Do they still jump into your OH's arms?
Fiona you're right, there is a difference in their faces, it's much less now than it used to be, and there are times it's difficult to tell them apart, but their ways and characters give them away in an instant Jack is on the right of the pic, he has a slimmer snout, head and neck, and seems to be all legs, but weighs as much as Barney! Barney has a much thicker squarer snout/head. We chose their pedigree lines as they are from similar lines to our old lab Max, who was a very handsome dog too, and had a wonderful temperament - it was definitely the right choice as the boys have both these qualities too. And yes, they still have to be picked up, Jack especially lol. I'm on school hols at the minute and just loving spending all day with them, they play out together for hours and are just no trouble at all. I had lunch outside with them today, which was followed by Barney falling asleep on my knee and Jack snuggled up asleep next to us on the garden bench - bliss! Lou x
