I would like all new puppy owners to read my posts from a year ago, moaning about my pup, how she bullied the older dog, chewed up my cushions, was overly boisterous, bit our hands and clothes with her needle-sharp teeth, ate dog poo, rolled in fox poo... Now, a year later, she is very, very nearly the perfect dog and all those starting out problems have faded away... The same will happen for you, I am sure.

Re: my day is going from bad to worse i don't know jac, we are at the vets in the morning....i think he as a bit of a limp, seems from his shoulder, hence not using the harness, ........i don't know how dogs tick, his behaviour as changed, .... no aggression just like he is trying to tell me something

Re: my day is going from bad to worse Hmm...don't know enough to say really, but Lilly had severe hip dysplasia diagnosed at around a year old, after 3 months of pfaffing about from our vets, and I can't say that she had any behaviour issues (not that type anyway). She has a tendency to be a bit growly if you "invade her space" when relaxing on her beanie, and hips click like mad at times. Also growled a bit when dried with a towel. I can't say I am religious about it, but our dog trainer is very hollistic, and always recommends right from the earliest days to check your dogs all over very regularly (he says daily) - touchig all parts of the body, legs, paws, tummy, head, ears etc - looking for tender spots, cuts, ticks and the likes. Good practice I think, and gets the dogs used to exams for going to the vets. I dope things go well tomorrow and this is just Jasper being a toddler hoodlum, pushing boundaries. Re: my day is going from bad to worse i have a very good vet..... i check him regular ,......every time he sits with me, no one else seems to see what i see,...i am with him 24/7 so i would notice when something not quite right will see what the vet says in the morning ... thank you

Re: my day is going from bad to worse Hey - good luck at the vets. He's probably just strained something - hope so anyway. Talking about growly dogs Lady sometimes growls when I want her to go to bed at night, or growls if I try to lift her out of the back of the car. Probably doing this all wrong but I just stroke he nose and tell her not to be a silly girl and she stops. ;D

Re: my day is going from bad to worse Poppy growled at the vet yesterday, heigh ho... Not a snarly, "I am about to bite you" growl, but a rumbly "last time I visited you you stuck a needle in me and I don't want it to happen again" kind of noise... They all have their moments :
