    Okay... Something is not right...
His blood sugar readings have improved, but he's not gaining weight, and for the last three days or so he's been throwing up a little. And he's nauseous - stretching his neck and stretching out on the floor. Unfortunately we have no grass - which he is looking for - so if I don't watch him he's trying to eat the other plants in the garden like he would grass! :(
Back to the vet tomorrow. :'(

So sorry to hear. Can you take him somewhere where there is grass so that he can eat it and throw up and perhaps feel better? So worrying for you...

So sorry to hear this. Can you not go and find some grass, then bring it back for him?

@MF @Cath There are sometimes mats of green grass available on the side of the road, but I have no idea where to find it...

Not sure I'd trust that grass - probably full of chemicals to make it grow perfectly ready to sell. But how about a grassy verge?

If he goes anywhere he hasn't been before he is so nervous-excited he can't do anything! :/

Weighed him this morning - he hasn't lost weight again, but he hasn't gained more than the kilo he had gained last week... :( He's so skinny.
I chatted to the vet, we've done so many tests lately that all came out within normal range that there's not much else we can do.
Tomorrow morning I am going to get a mid-stream urine sample from his first pee for the vet to test with one of those strips as he is concerned he's losing protein through his kidneys. Even though the expensive ultrasound showed normal kidneys and the last blood test showed normal kidney function. We are all hesitant to add anything to his diet to help him gain weight because it will affect his blood sugar.
    He's such a puzzle!
He's keeping our vets totally on their toes!

Riddick is 62 days seizure free. :)
His urine test showed no significant protein, there is some but not enough to cause concern so thats not why he's not gaining weight.
So we just have to try and get his diabetes under control, and then he should start gaining again.

Wow you(and Riddick) are such an inspiration. I've just read the whole thread and Riddick couldn't have a more determined or loving Mom. Your love for him knows no bounds and he is so lucky to have you.
I hope he continues to improve and put some weight on! Thinking of you both x

Riddick is still throwing up every day... It's at odd times, sometimes waking me up and 3am or 4am, sometimes at lunchtime. Its not helping his lack of weight gain, or controlling his blood sugar. :(
Today I went and got some fresh ginger after searching the internet in desperation... I've chopped and minced it and I gave him a little in some sugar-free peanut butter. He ate it okay, but the vet isn't sure if it will help and whether it will affect his blood sugar, but I am desperate to stop him puking!

It may be time to say goodbye to my precious Riddick... We have discussed it many times as our lives with our babies is about quality, not quantity, but this morning was the first time our vet brought it up.
We had blood and stool samples taken this morning to send away to test his pancreas - he's lost more than half a kilo since Monday (down to 30.7kg) and he's battling nausea as it seems he's not digesting/ absorbing his food properly.
If he's not digesting it we may be able to help him with added enzymes, but that will take time.
If he's not absorbing it there's nothing we can do to fix it.
How am I going to say goodbye to my baby.

Oh @AngelConradie, what a horrible dilemma for you. I am so sorry to read this about Riddick. You have battled so hard for him and I know will continue to do so. His quality of life though is as you rightly say the most important thing. Thinking of you.
