Legs on the wall - one of Snowie's favourites, too!

So pleased he's getting back to his old self.

This morning - for the first time in three weeks - Riddick walked the length of the garden from the waterbowl to the door in one trip, no stopping inbetween!

In the last couple of days we have started letting Riddick chill outside in the garden, like he likes to do, without supervision since he is able to get up and get around so much easier.
I keep peeping to make sure he doesn't get too tired and drag himself into a flowerbed, but so far so good.
Then this morning and again this evening - he walked back to the door under his own steam, and barked to come inside like he always does!
I am so happy I could cry!

    Ah thank you @kateincornwall @SwampDonkey @edzbird @drjs@5

I have no doubt that the prayers and healing thoughts have helped him get better!
He's now started to try and scrape the ground after a #2, which he loves to do, giving a little rumble and a bounce as he rips up my grass - this morning he managed a flick of one front foot!
And his walk is more normal every day - his back isn't arched up anymore, and he's only really swinging his back legs now when he's tired.

Well done, Riddick, and well done you. It sounds as if he's feeling so much better. Scraping up the ground is a good sign - Wispa loves to do that and I'm sure she has a grin on her face as she scores direct hits on anyone standing behind her!

Thank you @Granca and @Beanwood

Today we spent the day with my family to celebrate a niece's birthday, and as Riddick isn't quite strong enough to be left home without supervision yet, we took him and Guide Dog puppy Riggs with us.
Its an hour's drive to my mom, and Riddick does NOT chill in the car, so as usual he stayed sitting in the back seat hammock, "watching" the drive through the windscreen all the way. Riggs went to sleep.
When we got to my mom, Riddick slid out of the car - as usual (he does this stretching exercise with his back legs when he gets out the car or off the bed), but he couldn't stand let alone walk into my mom's house!
    I nearly burst into tears!
Thankfully, my darling husband - ever the calm and steady one in our household - reminded me that he had been sitting up for an hour, bracing himself against the car's movement, and he was probably worn out.
It took a couple of hours lying down and keeping calm but he got stronger by lunchtime, thank goodness!
He was tired on the drive home so he was lying down for about half the trip, and he was much better when we got home, thank heavens!

I think the day Riddick can give himself a good scratch, I might throw a party! :p
He's walking more every day, his posture is better every day, he's getting up and changing position, and going to lie in his favourite spots.
He can busy on his own, he's walking around the garden, barking when there's a noise in the street, chilling in the sun like he likes - but he still can't scratch himself properly! ;)
