    Ah, I forgot the ball thing. Shadow is obsessed with them! The other day, I walked with him through the car park towards where we go training, and he had a poo as soon as we got off the tarmac. I picked it up and walked with him, off-lead, towards the bin back in the car park. While we'd been gone, a family with a toddler had parked up at the opposite end - about 150m away. Horror of horrors, the kid was kicking a football around!

    Shadow immediately shot off. Amazingly, though, he returned to his recall whistle. I was astounded! He had a little pause and think about what was better halfway back, so I blew again and he decided that maybe it was the better thing to come back to me. Phew! Good boy, Shadow, but definitely need to do some more proofing around balls of all sizes :)

    .....pulling on the lead when he gets a really good smell or sees another dog
    .....running off when he sees another dog and ignoring me totally!

    other than that... he's perfect!
