Simba's got quite a lot of grey on his muzzle but he still acts as puppy-ish as ever...
Hope Lady is ok, David. Please let us know how it goes.

Moo is so grey now she looks like shes frosted round the edges. The cutest thing is her feet they look like they've been silvered with rain.

Hope everything goes well at the vets.

The vet thinks the swelling is almost certainly a Lipoma and at this stage just keep an eye on it and come back if it changes significantly. Phew! We're going to have to spell out the word "vet". SBD picked up on it and flatly refused to move off her nice comfortable sofa. :D

Shock horror! Weighed her in at 31kg. That's 3kg overweight. I thought she was getting a bit on the heavy side. Anyway got chastised by the vet because of her ED. Promised to sort it out.

I have ordered the Grecian 2000. Lady says that a girl just can't show her age EVER!

Glad it was nothing sinister David, worrying though when you find something....
Sounds like SBD is getting the full makeover treatment....fur restyling and a diet plan ,we won't know her! Good luck with the mutinous glares when you cut back her rations! X

When she thinks there should be more food she stands and stares at me with her ears forward, no blinking and her front legs slightly apart. :)

Indeed! I should be reported to the RSPCA or someone! Anyway she's now on a diet and already not liking it as she wasn't allowed a corner of my crumpet just now. <------- expression on the SBD's face! Or possibly ---->

It's really good to watch your weight when you have had joint surgery. Or are planning it..... :wasntme:

She will be back to her racing weight in no time!

All noted also about weight versus planned joint surgery. Kill joys! ;)

Very relieved to hear that the lump on the not quite so SBD is nothing to worry about. Phew! You've definitely been misleading us with her nickname, though - I've always pictured her as a wee slip of a thing!

She was the smallest in the litter and is actually quite petite compared to most other Labradors. Her ideal weight is probably around 27kg, so 31kg is seriously too heavy. Her brother belongs to friends and he is around 37kg and not an ounce overweight and looks huge compared to Lady.

I'm working on restoring her to SBD status. Perhaps I should start a weight watchers thread?
