I have lost two much loved dogs within the last year . Tess, my beautiful yellow Labrador , aged almost 11 who was diagnosed with liver failure , she died last July and little Lily, my JRT who suffered from seizures for over two years , finally diagnosed with a brain tumour , we helped her on her way back in January . Both were such characters , constant companions and still much loved . Some people thought I rushed into getting two more dogs , but my lovely boys are not replacements for my girls , they are extra ones to add to our long list of much loved members of our family .
Re: My girls Lovely photo Kate. They look like they are having fun. Typical terrier with her nose glued to the ground. Lovely dogs.
Re: My girls How terrible for you to have lost them both within the year. Sending you big hugs. However, they look so happy in that photograph! xx
Re: My girls Loving the expression on Tess' face - so sad to lose a beloved companion at any time but two so close together is hard. xxxx
Re: My girls It has been a tough call , but little Lily just couldnt seem to cope without her big friend . Lily lost a fair bit of her eyesight due to the tumour , we used to say that Tess became Lilys very own guide dog for the blind She was very depressed after Tess died , getting Sam as a pup helped her a lot as she had never been an only dog, but it was like a light went out in her life all the same . We like to think that they are now together as they always were in life and thats helped us enormously .
