My lab have mistakenly swallowed a mango seed with size about 8cm in length, he was brought to vet and they vet gave a stool shortener and prebiotic powder. I still cannot find any seed from the poo. He eat and live normally, any one have such experience?

Oh my! those are big pits... Hopefully it would be broken down by their digestive juices? I've never experienced that, but I hope everything comes out fine!

I have no idea how a stool shortener and prebiotic powder is going to help a dog having eaten a mango seed. Sometimes the mind boggles with what vets do...

I would really watch your dog very carefully for any sign of pain, vomiting or discomfort and rush him to the vet immediately - since he may need surgery to remove it. Watch his poops closely to see if/when it comes out again.
