Hello and welcome to the forum. New puppies sleep a LOT! Don't worry, he'll be up and about causing havoc before you know it *cough* photos please *cough*
It’s also very tiring for them in the first week home, so many new experiences to process. My Keir is five months old now and still sleeps a LOT!
Cherish his sleepy time! You'll miss it But don't worry, Stampy is a year old now and still likes to snooze the afternoon away
Hi and welcome from me and my boy Bailey. Yes perfectly normal - puppies always sleep a lot more than we think they do. It is a way for them to process all the things they learn in the big bad outside world! My boy at 21 months old is still perfectly happy to snooze away most of the day.
Typical day: 7:00 AM .Wander around with Mom in the garden for an hour in the morning. Sleep until about 9:30. Get the old boy to go outside for a round of tennis ball Sleep until 11:30. Time for pre lunch play. Sleep until 1. You got it, let's go play. Sleep until 3:30. Going for a walk now are we, huh, huh? Sleep until 6:00. Time for a good round of tennis ball, plastic bottle! Sleep until 8:00. Ok, where is my blue blanket? Let's go Ted! Snooze, watch the people watch TV, bedtime.
