Re: Myasthenia gravis? Just an update, with fingers crossed! Vets really pleased with Damson - it goes without saying how happy we are too! She remains engaged, great vitality, loving her beach runs and swims like an otter too. Still a bit wussy about walking in the rain, but I think that's just because she's intelligent! She looks at me as if to say "really?". I love to see her seek out her toys from the toy box, tease my older girl with them and then bring them to me to share. She just had her boosters and seems to have taken them in her stride too. Another box ticked. Damson has other problems which we keep a lid on - pancreas, skin issues and I think the vets were a little muddled to begin with and I am sure there was an element of 'obsessive woman owner'. We are now agreed that I know my dogs and that the reason I don't give up is that I know when something isnt right and I go to them for investigation, analysis, referral and treatment, not to be dismissed as a worrier. It pays to be tenacious: I had to demand a case conference with the senior vet to get to the root of this and am so glad I did. It took several visits - and hours!. My vets are generally great and I have relied on them a lot in the past, still will and do, but sometimes you just have to push.....here's to happy dog days, Damson! And thank you all, the forum family.
