hello all, Slightly worried and it’s too late to ring the vets so I will be doing first thing tomorrow unless any of you lovely lot know what it is. My Labrador 7 month old puppy is currently around day 10 of her first season and as expected has a very enlarged vulva! However she has been relaxing on her back as she usually does and I had a look at it and she has a black marble looking thing inside it, it’s soft and movable but I have never seen anything like it and cannot find any similar resemblance online either. I'm no expert when it comes to bitches, but I would be taking her to the vet tomorrow morning to get that checked. Could that darker bit be a hernia?
I'm not awful clear on dog anatomy, but my guess is it is okay. Looks like it could be a bulge from front or back wall of the vagina but you would have to ask someone with more experience, or your vet of course! Good picture though. Just remember to delete that one from your phone before you are next out with the girls
Haha I know, it’s defintiely getting double deleted!! Thanks, I will get her into the vets. She is so swollen bless her so it could be that but typically I am going away on Saturday so don’t feel right not knowing for definite what it is before I go away. X
I’ve been told it could be a prolapse but she seems so young for that. It’s the darker bit I am worried about. It looks like a marble! But is very soft. I’ll see what the vets say in the morning.
