 Oh my goodness, Kate, how awful. I'm so sorry Silas had to go through that. Boggles the mind that a teacher could be so insensitive. It's good your daughter talked to the Head to let him know what had happened. Hopefully he will have taken it up with the teacher.

Hugs to you and Silas, too.

Oh I am so sorry Kate, what an awful thing to have happened. Poor little Silas, just what he doesn't need, a horrible insensitive teacher. Poor Debbie, and poor you too. Furious on your behalf, this teacher needs a serious reprimand. :(

Poor Silas, what a terrible teacher. I would write into the school and make a formal complaint.

Love and hugs to you all x

That's unacceptable, especially as your daughter had forewarned the teacher. It's difficult to take it further, though, without worrying that it might not help the relationship between Silas and his teacher. I hope there's a positive solution.

Poor Silas. It's bad enough when people brush away an adult's beloved dog's passing as "it's just a dog" (which I'm sure everyone here has had happen to them), but to do that to a child is purely horrible. I wish Silas could know how many people out there understand that he has every right to cry and miss his Sam. :(

" His Sam " is spot on Emily . I always used to tell Silas that Sam was his dog , but that he lived over the road and I took care of him x

That teacher should be looking for a career change. How dare she be so insensitive, disrespectful and hurtful?

That’s really not on. Insensitive doesn’t really describe her behaviour. You would think a teacher knew better than that. Hugs and love to Silas:hug:
