My kennels dont mind entire dogs; they only draw the line at bitches on heat.

Although where my mother kennels her dogs they will even accept bitches in season! Not sure I'd want to leave my dogs there (actually, I definitely don't - but that's another story).

    yes she means indoor marking.
Eric is my first dog as an adult and when growing up we had a bitch so I really don't know much about marking. I had presumed he wouldn't do it inside but she lead me to believe he might do it in her house because of the other dogs?

He isn't even cocking his leg yet (although i've no idea if this has anything to do with it)

She has agreed to keep him so we will continue with that. My son has also offered to take care of him 2 days when not at college, although at 18 I cannot totally rely on him! I will be looking for a dog walker over xmas while off work.
In the long term unless we are having problems at home with him I won't be getting him done so need to think ahead for alternative care

We have a fantastic dog walker and his wife does daycare. When I was really poorly a few weeks ago with my back, he fitted Harley in to be walked every day at very short notice. I really value them both as if I am going to be at work for more than 4 hours and it's not a day she gets walked, she goes with them to day care where they get down time, do training and a bit of agility. I met with over 6 different dog walkers until I found one that we all liked. It really is worth meeting several walkers and not committing until you are really happy with them. Good luck

Riley has never pee'd in someone's house but I'm always aware it's a possibility after my in-laws dog pee'd up the curtains at my husbands aunts house - eek! I watch him carefully and he seems to click that it's a house not a lamppost reasonably quickly ;)

Charlie has never peed in my house, anyone else's house, or any holiday cottage, hotel room or pub.

But, I have to watch him like a hawk in hotel corridors, pets at home, the vet's and the garden centre.

Houses are really not on my worry list....

Christmas 1999 we booked a converted barn for a week away. When I arrived with dog, son and a load of other bits my husband took the dog inside to see his new home for the week. Flynn went straight to the basket full of wood and promptly cocked his leg the only time he pee'd indoors since puppyhood. I blame the husband
