No I wanted a clumber when I was 8 or 9 years old. Chose from a book in the library. My mother wouldnt let me. Funny really that now my husband won't let me. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

What is it with OHs who won't let us have more dogs! It would be an ideal world if the 'won't let' got together and the 'let's have another dog' were together ;D

Yes I totally agree Stacia. But as my father would say to you, life aint fair.

I have a grand master plan. Itll take a while, but by the time its finished, he won't be able to say no.

Cant publish said plan yet but its the kind of plan that quietly unfolds so he doesn't know what has happened..........

Completely off topic now, but I can hardly believe my eyes. ::) All you ladies, in these days of equality, political correctness and all and here you are all confessing that the man in the house is making the decisions??

(Just to make absolutely clear, for the avoidance of any doubt, that was intended to be funny)

So, staying off topic - I've just added Pippa's Total Recall to my ever growing collection of doggie books. I don't think I've ever had a problem training a good recall but I'm keen to learn how I could do it better.

I have the same problem, but he's agreed to a succession of Guide Dog pups! I think it's the cost of another which puts him off. We go away quite a lot and my friend has Tatze (we have her lab, Zaba, in return) but she wouldn't have two. So I do understand, but it doesn't stop me hankering!
