Dehydrated prawn heads. Amazing. We had some shell-on prawns for lunch the other day and I figured I would see what happened if I dehydrated the heads. The pups love them! I was worried they might be a bit spiky, but when they're dehydrated, they're so brittle, they just break up in your mouth - believe me, I tried one myself. They're really tasty and the dogs go mad for them. They're my new recall treat. We eat a lot of prawns here and generally buy whole raw king prawns. I sometimes use the heads in cooking, but if not, I have a whole new use for them, rather than chucking them away. I'm going to have to buy a second Doggone treat bag now, so I can have a variety of treats with me depending on what we're doing
Sounds good I think you are onto a winner with the texture. The crunchier the better in my experience! Except as a general rule of thumb I can't handle any food stuffs that look back at me

You licked a hedgehog? Weirdo! I always suck the heads of prawns anyway - it's where all the flavour is. A friend of mine always eats the whole heads on prawns. Which I find a bit weird because of the chewy/spiky texture of the shells. But I figured why not with the dried ones. They're good! Very - er - prawny!
