Hello, my name is Tanya and I am brand new to this site. We just got a male puppy yellow lab and he is fabulous! I have searched the internet in order to try to get the answer to sort of an awkward question to no avail so I am posting it here in hopes that somebody has information on this. My puppy is now 13 weeks, he is yellow with a bare belly and also a bare penis. Because his coat is on the white side and his penis has no hair and is dark it really stands out. My question is - will it grow hair to match his coat at some point ????? I am a bit embarrassed to ask this question but am hoping someone can answer! Thank you
All I can tell you is our adult lab-hound mixes (one black, one brown) have very little fur from below the rib cage to the genitals. The brown female is pretty much pink through the area and the black male has black and white fur around the penis. They seemed to get a bit more hair as they grew up but not a whole lot.
