Hi first post here and my first puppy! we picked up jack Monday and he had his first jabs yesterday I want to get him socialising with puppy's and people as quick as possible, as we have a 2 year old at home (so far he they are both great with each other) but we have quite a few children in the family and I want him and them to feel comfortable around each other and not be scared. what's the best way of doing this without the chances of him picking up a virus.

Before Pepper had his second injection we took him in a sling and carried him around, so het got used to all sorts of people, children, bikes, cars and lorries. He was relatively small at 9 weeks so it wasn’t too bad carrying him for 30 minutes at a time.

Same as Nick, we had a puppy carrier (NICREW, https://www.amazon.co.uk/NICREW-Fro...&qid=1529585614&sr=1-9&keywords=puppy+carrier) which our pup quickly outgrew but it was a godsend in the first few weeks before he was fully vaccinated. We took him to the local farmers market, to the university at lunchtime (the students LOVED this, he got so much attention!) outside school gates to get used to the squeaking and squealing of children, to the pub, the train station - basically anywhere you can think of to give him new sights and smells and meet people of all sorts in a safe environment.

    Yup we did too.

Plus we spent significant portions of time sitting at train stations... lots of people, bikes, noise and dogs passing by...

I took our puppy out on the school run early every morning and night basically every where we went, pet shop, cafes and event he vet the more people puppy meets in the early days is vital. I was just really careful where I let her walk and didn't let her put things in her mouth.
