Re: New puppy incoming Sounds great! The window up to 12 weeks is a really, really important one and you will get the most 'bang for your buck' from experiences had during that time - but it doesn't stop there. The opportunity for giving your dog new, positive experiences is a lifelong one. See if you can find opportunities for Poppy to play with other puppies her age too - do any of the vets in your area do 'puppy parties'?
Not sure, but there are lots of puppy classes in my local area so she will be able to mix with others her own age. I will check with the vet if there is any puppy parties in my area. Claire

Re: New puppy incoming If you click on the icon above, the left hand box underneath the Bold symbol, and paste your link in between the two sets of brackets, your picture will show in line like this....... Awww....sweet girl Poppy
Re: New puppy incoming Thanks Jacqui, thats great. More pics will follow as I get them. Cheers Claire
Re: New puppy incoming Oh my how cute! Welcome here from Lisa and Simba (18month old LabX). We acquired Simba "second hand" at a year old, about 6 months after my previous dog, a Border Collie, passed over the Rainbow Bridge at 16 years old. So, it's been a long time since I've raised a puppy! I'll leave the expert from all of those here who have just gone through (or are going through) it, but will just say be prepared that it's going to be harder, but also more fun, then you think. Just like everything else that's worthwhile
Re: New puppy incoming It can be a bit of a shock to the system getting a pup, but things like mouthing really dont go on forever, and Im sure you will have great fun with your pup, they are very sweet and loving dogs, who love to play.
Re: New puppy incoming It's official - she's gorgeous! Needed a puppy fix, and thanks Jac for sorting it so I could see it. Hmm, trying to judge the colour of Mini Pops and wondering if she will grow up like Karen's gorgeous Poppy... Clare
Hi Jacqui, she has 6 litter mates to play with. So she will not be short on company. My mother in law has 2 west highland terriers which we are hoping will become her best friends. Claire
