I'm trying to upload a picture to show the bed & crate however it's proving quite difficult!
It's a Bunty one.. not exactly teething proof so it may be best to leave that out for the first few weeks! :)

Oh perfect, thank you. We ma have to increase the space a little but that should do him.... if leaving the bed out, would you recommend anything in particular to kay the crate with above the newspaper?? We looked at vet bedding but it seemed quite pricey... are rugs/blankets suitable or would the be harmful in any way??

    Thanks again :)

I fixed it for you ;)

Vet bed will last forever, far, far longer than any other bed. I still have the two pieces I bought when W&S were pups, two and a half years ago. With rugs and blankets, you have to be careful about chewing; if the puppy gets a thread loose and then eats it, it could potentially be very harmful indeed. I'm a bit paranoid about that, after a forum puppy was sadly lost after ingesting a thread and it getting wrapped around the gut.
Felt-type blankets would probably be fine, but certainly wouldn't last as long as vet bed. And vet bed can be washed at up to 90C, which is useful sometimes! :D

In order to post photos, you need to use a third-party site such as Imgur, Photobucket or Flickr and paste in the BBCode. There is more information in the stickies here: https://thelabradorforum.com/forums/technical-help.18/
Or, once you've decided you like us and want to stick around, for a £10 subscription you can upload directly: https://thelabradorforum.com/threads/new-forum-account-upgrades.13588/

    Hope that helps :)

You can upload avatars directly, so it was probably that one that worked.

Are you in the UK? This is an eBay user that I've bought loads of vet bed from: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NON-SLIP-...hash=item3cdbe9eccd:m:m9NtdVfkBpdsfCp9QopAKBg
    I have it everywhere

Have a read through this thread, if you haven't already: https://thelabradorforum.com/threads/puppy-problems-will-things-ever-improve.1680/
Not to put you off in the slightest, but I was amazed with my first pup how, as ridiculously prepared as I thought I was, nothing could actually prepare me for the upheaval. Definitely be excited, it's a super exciting time, but when you do feel a bit sleep deprived and your puppy is hanging off your leg, it's nice to know that you're not alone :D
