Why do some new threads not appear in the New Posts section? This has happened a couple of times. Any ideas technical people please? Thanks x
I was wondering that also as I posted something last night and haven't see it appear on the new posts.
How are you looking at New Posts? If you're just refreshing, they won't show up, because it saves the list of threads for that request. You have to actually click the button again. When I started doing that instead of reloading the current page, I started getting all the posts correctly.
Your new posts won't show until someone else replies to them. New posts is only ones you've not already seen - so anything since you last posted it or viewed the thread.
To clarify, your new posts will show up in my New Posts list, but not in your own. As soon as I reply to it, it should show up in your New Posts list
I'm talking about the New Posts along the top of the board. I have had a reply to the posts but they still don't show on the New Posts, e.g. 'Meal for Two'. Sorry is there more than one New Post?
It only shows you posts from threads that you have not opened in the new posts list Helen. Once you have opened a thread, the system assumes you have read the posts in it. Does that answer your question? So if I add a reply to 'Meal for Two' it should appear in your list. I'll do that now
Just to add, if you want to look at all the most recent posts, just click on 'new posts' then look at the top right of the screen just above the first orange bar, and you'll see a recent posts button
